Psychotherapy training at the bpf is conducted across the four psychotherapy disciplines of Psychoanalysis, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Jungian Analysis and Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy which are in specific Associations. For further information about the bpf’s associations, click here.

Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy Doctorate

IPCAPA at the British Psychotherapy Foundation bpf and the Anna Freud Centre/UCL have collaborated to produce an innovative and exciting new Doctorate in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy. This 4 year full time programme will lead to the award of DPsych and professional membership of the Association of Child Psychotherapists (ACP) as well as the bpf, and eligibility for work in the NHS.

Jungian Analytic Training with Adults

Based in London. Qualification leads to membership of the British Jungian Analytic Association and the British Psychotherapy Foundation, registration with the British Psychoanalytic Council, and to membership of the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP).

Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy with Adults

Based in London or Oxford & Reading. Qualification leads to membership of the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Association and the British Psychotherapy Foundation and registration with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). The PPA also offers a Modified Entry Scheme.

Psychoanalysis with Adults

Based in London. This training in psychoanalysis is run by the British Psychoanalytic Association, itself an International Psychoanalytic Association member society within the British Psychotherapy Foundation. Qualification leads to membership of the BPA, IPA and bpf, and eligibility to register with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC).

National Psychotherapy Training

The British Psychotherapy Foundation, in partnership with the University of Exeter, is now offering a three year programme of qualifying training as a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, uniquely designed to accommodate trainees from across the UK.
