The University of Exeter offers a number of programmes in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy leading to postgraduate degree level qualification and/or professional clinical qualification.
The DClinPrac may be undertaken by:
1) Psychotherapy clinicians who have completed, or are in the process of psychoanalytic psychotherapy training in which the academic component is equivalent to a Masters degree level.
This includes international applicants.
2) Students who have completed the MSc degree at the University of Exeter, are undertaking the Professional Qualifying Training and wish to combine this with the DClinPrac.
For students undertaking the Qualifying Training, this runs in tandem with the clinical programme. During the first two years, students participate in a taught programme, usually two five day block events each year.
In addition, they are members of a research group and receive intensive tutorial and supervisory input, which equips members with the relevant research skills, complementary to their clinical training.
