We are pleased to let you know that Dr Catalina Bronstein, President British Psychoanalytical Societywill be presenting her fascinating and thought-provoking paper, 'The Uncanny effect of Dissociation'.

About the speaker

Dr Catalina Bronstein is currently President of the British Psychoanalytical Society, where she is a training and supervising analyst, and also a child analyst. She is Visiting Professor at the Psychoanalysis Unit UCL. Having initially trained as a psychiatrist in Argentina, she did the child psychotherapy training at the Tavistock and the adult training at the Institute of Psychoanalysis.

Dr Bronstein has worked for more than 25 years at the Brent Adolescent Centre. She is a former London Editor of the IJP and has published widely. She edited 'Kleinian Theory. A Contemporary Perspective'. She co-edited with Edna O'Shaughnessy 'Attacks on Linking Revisted'  and with Julia Borossa and Claire Pajaczkowska 'The New Klein-Lacan Dialogues'. She is also a member of the IPA Publications Committee.
